Rev. Canon Gervais A.M. Clarke Ph.
D.

The Rev. Canon Gervais A.M. Clarke Ph. D. has been a member
of the Orange Rotary Club since May of 1987. He served as the
President of the Orange Rotary Club in 1991, the Club’s Seventy-fifth
Year. The Club has twice made him a Paul Harris Fellow in 1993
and in 2000, when he was Rotarian of the Year. After Serving
as the District Governor’s Representative 1993 – 1998, he was
the Assistant District Governor 1999 - 2003. He has also served
in other capacities at the District and Club Levels.
Born in Kingston, Jamaica in 1940 he was ordained in the Anglican
Church in July 1966. Canon Clarke has been the Rector of the
Episcopal Church of the Epiphany at 105 Main Street in Orange
since March 1987. The Church of the Epiphany is celebrating
its Centennial Anniversary this Year. Married to Dr. Joan Binger-Clarke
since July 1968, they are the proud parents of two sons, both
holding Ph.Ds. in Aeronautical Engineering from MIT.
Canon Clarke has been the Police and Fire Chaplain in Orange
since November of 1987, and is the Senior Police Chaplain. He
is also actively involved in Track and Field globally since
1957 and was the Chief Finish Judge in the Atlanta Olympic Games
in 1996. He has attended every Olympic Game since 1972 and all
the World Championships since the inception of the IAAF Meet.
Having attended every Penn Relay since 1967 and Millrose Games
since 1972, he has been the Associate Chief Finish Judge at
the Penn Relays for a decade.
The Government of Jamaica awarded him the National Honor of
O.D., (Officer of the Order of Distinction) in 1998 for his
contribution in Religion and Sports. He writes as Cannon Gee
in Track and Field Jamaica (A Quarterly International Magazine
in the Sport) as the Senior Correspondent and broadcasts to
the Caribbean from International Track Meets all over the world.
Canon was elected in 2004 a Trustee of the Episcopal Diocese
of Newark, a Lifetime Appointment. He was also named Priest
of the Year in the Diocese of Newark in 2004. He was educated
at Calabar High School, St. Peter’s College, & the University
of the West Indies (in Jamaica), Princeton Theological Seminary
in the US, and Canterbury in England. His doctorate is in Liberation
Theology.
Veronica A. Williams

Veronica Williams is an established authority on business and
technology. An internationally recognized author, lecturer and
consultant, she is considered an expert on deriving value from
new and emerging technologies. Ms. Williams is featured in the
book entitled Women Who Mean Business, published by William
Morrow & Company. She has written numerous articles and
authored popular books including the acclaimed book Wireless
Computing Primer (IDG Books), and Turning Technology into Value.
Ms. Williams has served as a leading advisor, judge, instructor
and speaker at major conferences including COMDEX, the Consumer
Electronics Show (CES), Windows World and Inc. magazine’s CEO
Symposium. She has delivered keynotes at several events including
COMDEX, UTC, Energy Technology Convention, the Cingular Interactive
Developer Conference and Canada’s MUNeGOV conference. Her television
appearances include Computer Chronicles, Chicago Tomorrow, the
CBS Early Show and ZDTV.
Ms. Williams is a Managing Director of ACT Inc., a business
consulting and technology services firm that serves the private
and public sectors. Ms. Williams has worked with major clients
such as American Express, IBM, Motorola, BellSouth and the New
York Board of Trade. Her vision and pioneering spirit were instrumental
in the establishment of DiscoverIT.
Ms. Williams holds a B.A. in Economics from Brandeis University
and an M.B.A. from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management
